Internship & Trainee Roles
The masjid is now moving toward a stronger digital presence, making information and knowledge easily accessible. We have begun digitalization efforts by introducing Mawaqit displays for unified prayer times and announcements, establishing active social media channels, and enabling on-the-go payments through MobilePay. With Oulu selected as the Oulu2026 – Cultural Capital of Europe, we aim to represent Islam and our community’s harmony to Oulu and the whole of Europe through impactful, positive outreach. For this reason, we are expanding our IT & Media team.

Backend Developer / Software Developer
Join our IT Team to help improve and extend PSIY.fi into a multilingual, dynamic platform and one stop place for community to know about our masjid, acitivities and Islam:
• Experience with React and Django
• Experience with Git
• Add multilingual support to the current website
• Build dynamic prayer times
• Integrate events, blogs, Calendly, and social media posts into PSIY.fi
• Work in a startup-like environment
Team: IT Team
Graphic Designer
Support our Media Team by creating high-impact visuals and event posters for the community.
• Experience with Canva Pro, Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator, Premiere Pro
• Skills in typography/animation graphics
• Able to produce high impact event posters
• Comfortable with time-critical tasks
• Can self-ideate designs from sparse information
Team: Media Team
Social Media Trainee
Join the Media Team to help manage and grow PSIY’s online presence across various social media channels.
• Experience handling multiple platforms - instagram and
facebook pages
• Experience with Meta Business Suite and content making strategy
• Previous experience in curating and creation of islamic content
• Increasing outreach by collaborating with young islamic organizations (NMF Ry) and other masjids

Note: For compensation you can be part of the Finnish integration course. After you are selected, you are responsible for informing to arrange internship compensation from the TE Office.
We will provide certiificate of internship on completion of the internship.
