Nikah: A Sacred Union in Islam

Nikah, the sacred Islamic marriage contract, is a significant milestone in a Muslim’s life. It is not just a social agreement but a spiritual bond that brings together two individuals under the principles of love, mercy, and mutual responsibility. At PSIY, we are honored to facilitate this sacred union, ensuring it aligns with Islamic teachings and legal requirements in Finland.

PSIY and Nikah Services:

At PSIY, we conduct Nikah ceremonies with a qualified Qadi recognized by the Finnish authorities. This ensures that the marriage is not only valid under Islamic law but also acknowledged in Finland.

For those intending to marry, PSIY provides a seamless process. To begin, one can contact us via phone or email at [insert PSIY email here]. Our team will guide you through the necessary steps and requirements.

Requirements for Nikah:

To conduct the Nikah, the following conditions must be met:
1. Mahr (Dowry): A mandatory gift from the groom to the bride, symbolizing commitment and respect.
2. Witnesses: Two members from the couple’s family or friends must be present to witness the marriage.
3. Faith Considerations:
• If the groom is Muslim, the bride must at least believe in God (i.e., be from the People of the Book – Christianity or Judaism).
• If the bride is Muslim, the groom must also be Muslim for PSIY to conduct the Nikah.

The Process:

Once the requirements are met, our Qadi will officiate the ceremony, ensuring that all Islamic and legal guidelines are followed. The marriage contract is then signed, sealing the union in the presence of witnesses.

Nikah is a beautiful step towards a blessed companionship, and at PSIY, we are committed to making it a smooth and spiritually fulfilling experience. If you are ready to take this step, reach out to us today!

For inquiries or to schedule a Nikah, contact one of the Nikah facilitators - Engr. Aminu Mubarak (VP of PSIY).
